Solar NV is the Southern Nevada chapter of ASES, the American Solar Energy Society.

Our Mission is to educate the public regarding the benefits of renewable energy; to promote the use of renewable energy and sustainable energy technologies; and to function as a clearinghouse and local resource for renewable energy information.

Membership Category Descriptions

Student Membership: Intended for full-time students who may be short on cash but full of energy, ideas, and interest in renewable energy.

Benefits Include:

  • Chapter Membership for one full-time student
  • Access to monthly E-newsletter with opportunity to contribute
  • Informative monthly meetings
  • Opportunity to support renewable energy education and local project development

Basic Membership: Intended for most individuals who have an interest in learning about renewable energy and ways to use it within our own community.

Benefits Include:

  • Chapter Membership for one individual
  • Access to monthly E-newsletter with opportunity to contribute
  • Informative monthly meetings
  • Opportunity to support renewable energy education and local project development

Benefactor Membership: Intended for small-businesses, organizations, or individuals who are interested in promoting the use of renewable energy and encouraging public education on the subject.

Benefits Include:

  • Chapter Membership for up to three individuals
  • Access to monthly E-newsletter with opportunity to contribute
  • Informative monthly meetings
  • Opportunity to support renewable energy education and local project development
  • Acknowledgement on Solar NV web site (e.g. company name/logo and address or other)
  • A portion of the proceeds goes toward the chapter’s “solar for senior” programs ($10 goes toward the purchase of two compact florescent light bulbs)

Steward Membership: Intended for large businesses, organizations or individuals that have an eye on a sustainable energy future and want to make a difference locally by supporting a clearinghouse for renewable energy information.

Benefits Include:

  • Chapter Membership for up to five individuals
  • Access to monthly E-newsletter with opportunity to contribute
  • Informative monthly meetings
  • Opportunity to support renewable energy education and local project development
  • Acknowledgement on Solar NV web site (e.g. company name/logo and address or other)
  • Acknowledgement on chapter brochures
  • Acknowledgement on chapter banners
  • A portion of the proceeds goes toward the chapter’s “solar for senior” programs ($25 goes toward the purchase of five compact florescent light bulbs)
  • A portion of the proceeds is donated to the solar electric light fund ($25 is donated, enough to purchase a full lighting kit including ballast, fixture & bulb for a village, home or school)
